<p style="padding-left: 30px;">A proposal to change the way Michigan state park fees are paid could end up being the best of both worlds: It could save money for the people who use the parks, and bring in an additional $47 million to help maintain and improve the facilities.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">As beautiful as they are, though, the state&#8217;s parks and recreation areas are badly in need of maintenance and renovation.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">We hope it&#8217;s adopted, and we urge Livingston County&#8217;s lawmakers to throw their support behind it, as well.</p>
